I still remember the taste

Since my little daughter grew old enough to eat other things than her mother's breast milk, she's practically alive thanks to Gerber & Co.

My decision was not to let her eat any fresh fruit or vegetable, until I'll find at least one decent enough at our local supermarket. You can't blame me for not trying...except Bananas from Ecuador (which I'm allergic to), the rest is more suitable as horse food and between you and me, bananas are over rated anyway.

The baby on the Gerber food jars looks so happy and alert. Iv'e heard that it's important to check and see if the baby is alert, the say it's a good indication of his well being. Thanks to Gerber food my child is alert and she's happy too. Besides, let's face it, babies food in jars is delicious, every time I feed her I unsuccessfully holding myself from eating it myself. The rice pudding is mmm...gorgeous, the poor creature probably thinks that the Gerber company is cheap in filling their jars only half way...half it's enough. Too much food is also not good.

Sometimes I feel jealous of her. I wish I had to eat Gerber food all my infant life. But no, I had to eat so called healthy food, like real vegetables, fresh fruits, I still remember the taste yuk...no wonder why I still can't stand even the smell of bananas...

Well, long time ago I made the decision not to repeat the same mistake with my child, worst case if she doesn't like it I'll change her food to Heinz.

  1. Gerber is sooooooooo good!!!!!!
When I worked as a babysitter I fed the baby with it and the situation was like this: one spoon for her, two for me LOL!

  2. Did you know that Gerber is not sold here anymore (and has not been for a while)? And there is nothing wrong with most of the fruits and vegetables here... except the prise (they are very expensive). And that in your home you will find at least 3 machines that you can use to make soft baby-food from apples, pears, mango and all the fruits and boiled vegetables you can think of? And that the girls mother doesn't like her to be fed from jars all the time?

  3. It's the solution for the busy Israeli mothers, but you're completely right that fresh vegetables are the best...

*Quote :- He said the agency had opened 30,000 jars of Gerber baby food, obtained from stores and warehouses, and had found just five pieces of glass that he described as ''harmless specks.''*

  6. I was the ninth of ten kids and was raised on a farm. I don't think I was ever fed food from a jar. I'm pretty sure I was fed fresh farm milk and cooked cereal until I could eat the family food mashed under a fork.
